Oral Cancer

Early detection is a fundamental component in the fight against oral cancer.  Nearly 35,000 in the Unites States alone are affected annually. It is painful, debilitating and often life threatening. Males are twice as likely than females and smokers and drinkers also have elevated risk in developing oral cancer. Oral cancer screenings increase the odds that the disease is something you or your family never have to endure. The screening for oral cancer involves using a blue excitation light to examine tissue for abnormalities that simply takes a few minutes and can easily fit into your routine dental examination.
